Hey, I'm Arpita
A professional artist and teacher based in Mumbai, I have turned my childhood captivation and passion for painting into a boutique business.
The seed for Arpita Art and Design Studio was initially sown as a ‘passion project’, which eventually matured into a niche profession, steering my burning passion for art onto a career path. I’m inspired by the beauty around me and choose to channel this fascination into my work, where I weave little stories into my art. I’m a strong believer in the idea that beauty lies in simplicity…noticing beauty in everyday things is what reminds me of how wonderful every small part of this world is. Like within the interesting bending of light and shadow, hidden inside the unique texture of a painted door along a gravel road in a quaint countryside.
From being a childhood scribbler to a Masters degree in biology to being a middle school teacher to being here - with you all, my dear creatives of course - my journey’s been one that I could hardly imagine. My story is a bit offbeat, a bit unpredictable, and just awesome enough to surprise me at every turn, much like my artwork.
